Edit Asset
You can edit an asset from the Asset Summary and Detail pages if you have the appropriate permissions. You may only be able to edit particular levels of assets. For example, your organization may "lock down" editing of the first two or three levels of the asset hierarchy and only allow editing of assets below those levels.
When editing an asset, you are modifying the general attributes associated with the asset. This includes general information about asset location and classification, organizational attributes such as Repair Center and Shop, manufacturer and vendor, serial number and warranty, and any custom fields defined for use at your organization.
To modify the parent of an asset, use the Asset Move feature available from the Asset Summary page.
