Toolbar

The toolbar displays below the menu bar and provides access to some of the most frequently used features. The buttons you see depend on the permissions granted to your access group. Options in the View menu can be used to control whether toolbar buttons include icons, text, or both.

The following toolbar buttons are available:

New creates a new record for the module in the Work Center. If you click the arrow to the right of the button, a dialog box opens, allowing you to select the type of record to create.

Open opens a dialog box that allows you to select a module to open.

List expands the List pane to full screen, hiding the Work Center. When the List pane is full screen, additional columns are displayed as well as check boxes that allow you to select multiple records to operate upon.

Report opens the Reporter which allows you to report on Maintenance Connection data. To close the Reporter either click the Close button or click the Report button again.

Dashboard displays a customizable dashboard page that contains Key Performance Indicators, Reports, and Charts.

Message Center opens the Message Center providing access to internal messages and chat sessions.

Home returns you to the Maintenance Connection Home page.

Global Search allows you to globally search for a value across all modules.

Log Off signs you out of Maintenance Connection.

Save is available if you are currently editing a record. Click this button to save your work.

Cancel is available if you are currently editing a record. Click this button to discard any information you have added or modified.

While you are editing, the toolbar buttons disappear and that space is used to display system messages and alerts.
