Actions

The following options are available from the Actions menu:

  • Rules Manager: Select to open the Rules Manager to establish rules for automated actions.

  • Image Uploader: Select to open the Image Uploader to load images into a module library.

  • Alert History: Select to open a dialog box displaying a list of all of the alerts recently sent. Alerts may appear when an error occurred or when an important system update occurred, for example, a new work order request was received, an asset was taken out of service, or the status of a purchase order was changed.

  • Asset: Select to display a menu of Asset Tools.

  • Labor: Select to display a menu of Labor Tools.

  • Members: Select to display a menu of Members Tools.

  • Preferences: Select to set Module Preferences.

For more information see System Administration.

Favorites

The Favorites menu is dynamically generated, so it only appears once favorites have been defined. The top fifteen records marked as favorites are available from the menu. You can add a page to your favorites by opening it and then clicking Favorites icon in the top right corner of the page.

Favorites are organized according to the modules they were created in. Selecting a favorite opens the record in a new window so you do not lose your place. For more information, see Favorites.

A Refresh option is available at the bottom of the menu to refresh the list if favorites have been added/removed since you last logged in. If favorites are being set for the first time, it may be necessary to sign out and sign back in to see the Favorites menu.

Help

The following options are available from the Actions menu.

  • Accruent Access: Opens the support portal which provides access to knowledge base articles, users forums, documentation, and other support materials. Members have access to the latest news and updates from Maintenance Connection and MC University.

  • MC University: Select to access Maintenance Connection training materials.

  • User Guide: Opens this online help system.

  • Reporter Guide: Opens the online help for using the Maintenance Connection Reporter.

  • About Maintenance Connection: Provides software version, license, and server information.

Repair Center

At the top right corner, a menu allows you select a repair center. Repair centers are the highest level of organization in Maintenance Connection. If all maintenance activity in your organization is handled out of one facility, your organization may have one repair center. However, many organizations, however, divide their maintenance responsibilities amongst multiple repair centers.

From this menu you can select All to access all repair centers or you can select a particular repair center by name.

Language

At the top right corner, a menu allows you to select a display language. When your first log in, English is selected by default. If you select a different language, Maintenance Connection remembers it and displays the application in your chosen language the next time you sign in.

Only labels, buttons, tabs, and messages are translated. Data values entered into the system, such as record names and IDs, are displayed in the language in which they were entered.

The Smart Label Manager allows members to correct errors in translation.
