Schedule: Labor

The Labor Schedule page displays the labor record's schedule from three perspectives (Work Schedule, Time Off/Work Schedule Exceptions, and the labor assignment calendar) and also offers the option to merge the schedule with a shift.

ClosedMerge Schedule From Shift

You can use this feature to merge any shift schedule with the labor record's schedule, so that updates to a shift schedule automatically adjust the labor record's weekly work schedule and/or availability on the labor assignment calendar. Schedules added from a shift cannot be removed or edited.

  1. Select the Merge Schedule From Shift check box.

  2. Select the shift you want to merge.

  3. Click Save.

The shift schedule merges with the labor record on the Work Schedule pane and the labor assignment calendar. All records from the shift cannot be modified or removed.

To remove a shift schedule merge, click the Merge Schedule From Shift check box and click Save.

ClosedWork Schedule

The Work Schedule pane displays the labor record's weekly work schedule, which also determines the labor record's available hours on the labor assignment calendar. Multiple schedules can be defined for different periods of time. For example, a labor record might work particular hours during one season and then change to a different schedule. A begin and end date can be defined for each work schedule.

Schedules merged from a shift appear in an italic font and cannot be removed or modified. Schedules specifically tied to the labor record appear in black font and can be removed or modified.

The Work Schedule pane shows the Begin Date and End Date for each schedule and fields for each day of the week where you can specify available hours.

Records shown in an italic font are merged from a shift and cannot be edited or removed.

ClosedLabor Assignment Calendar

The labor record's assignment calendar for the current month is at the bottom of the Labor Schedule page. The calendar must be scrolled (vertically) to see the full month. You cannot create, modify, or delete assignments from this calendar.

Each assignment on the calendar lists Work Order ID, Asset Name, Assignment Hours, and Work Order Reason/Desc (often Procedure Name). If available, an image of the asset is also displayed. If a work schedule has been defined for this labor record, the calendar shows the total available hours each day and the total hours assigned to date in the upper-right corner of each date.

To view additional information about the work order associated with the assignment, click the assignment or hover your cursor over the assignment. You can also open the work order record by double-clicking on the assignment or by right-clicking the assignment and selecting Open in New Window.
