Inventory List and Search
The Inventory List and Search tabs, accessible in the left pane, are used to identify and locate inventory items. The following sections describe the unique characteristics of the Inventory List and Search tabs.
The Inventory module provides two predefined filters that can help you more easily locate items. These filters are listed in the field at the top of the Inventory List.
This field can be used to filter results to Stocked Items to Reorder or Direct Issues to Reorder:
-
The Stocked Items to Reorder option returns all items requiring reorder, based on reorder points defined for each stock room. The item must also be designated as Stocked on Stock Rooms.
-
The Direct Issues to Order filter returns all direct order items that have been requested for work orders.
To open an inventory filter, choose a filter from the field above the Inventory List.
The records corresponding to that filter automatically display below the filter.
The records displayed in the Inventory List show identifying information. Typically the Item ID and Name are displayed, but this information can be configured by your organization.
Inventory Items that have been marked as rotating have a blue icon.
Searches based on item ID search in all fields in which ID can be specified, such as Inventory Item ID, Internal Item ID and Vendor Item ID. Results are returned if they exist in any of these three ID fields.
