Manage Asset Icons

The default icon displayed for each asset is the icon stored in the Asset Classification. However, you can add custom icons and change the default icon.

ClosedAdd a Custom Icon

  1. Ensure the icon is 16 x 13 pixels in size.

  2. Name the icon so that it ends with _g.gif.

    For example, mynewicon_g.gif.

  3. Place the icon in any library folder under the map_v12\iconlib folder.

ClosedChange Asset Icon

  1. Navigate to the Details tab of the asset whose icon you want to change.

  2. Click the Change Icon… button to the right of the Asset Info section header.

    The Change Icon dialog box appears. Allow the dialog box to populate.

  3. Select a category from the Category field in the upper-right of the dialog box.

  4. Select the desired icon.

    A selection box appears around the icon.

  5. Click Apply.

    The new icon appears to the left of the Asset Name field.

  6. Click Save.
