Maintenance Connection Signs Up First International Dealer
Davis, CA – September 3, 2003 - Maintenance Connection, Inc., a
Northern California developer of web-based maintenance
management software, today announced that they have signed up
their first international dealer. In a deal that has been in
planning for a few months, the company made an agreement with
Alberta, Canada-based AssetPro Solutions, Inc. The two
companies plan to co-market
Maintenance Connection. AssetPro Solutions will be the primary
dealer of Maintenance Connection software in most of Canada.
“This is the beginning of our movement to pursue international
markets more intensely”, says Business Development Manager Brad
Squires. “Our desire is that this will help establish a stronger
presence in the Canadian market space”. Maintenance Connection
has sold their product several times internationally, but the
move is one that they feel will deepen their organizational
presence in Canada. After this move, Squires has plans to
develop similar relationships for he company in Latin America
and European markets.
AssetPro Solution's experience stretches back to the beginning
of the PC revolution. In 1982, Ray Schoepfer founded
Auto-Administrator Int'l Inc. to offer enterprise class
accounting and billing software on the PC to small and medium
sized municipalities. Soon after, Peter Horwood joined Ray as VP
of development and drove Auto-Administrator to become a
world-class development company. As the company grew, they
expanded the offerings to include payroll, maintenance, utility
billing and GIS, while developing a large number of
international technical and business contacts. More recently,

of Asset Pro to gain traction in the CMMS arena. They will be
not only selling the software in Canadian markets, but also
focusing on implementation, general maintenance strategies and
CMMS consultation.
In addition to the initial agreement between the companies,
AssetPro Solutions
is currently testing the first member of a family of products
designed to provide add-on
functionality to the base Maintenance Connection platform. On
the forefront of these developments is the Maintenance
Connection Mobile interface with the Palm devices scheduled for
release in the fourth quarter of this year.
Both companies feel this is a wise strategic decision and have
big plans for developing new sales and marketing strategies for
a long term relationship.
